Villagers busy planting rapeseed

Government officials are busy distributing fertilizers to rapeseed growers at the agricultural service center in Mujiangping Town of Fenghuang County. Mujiangping Town, based on local conditions, has taken multiple measures to promote the development of rapeseed production. There are 2,000 mu (about 133.33 hectares) of rapeseed in the town in 2024, and concentrated demonstration areas have been formed in villages such as Zhongzhai, Yanlong, and Gaoshantian. Now, villagers are busy planting rapeseed. According to Tian Feng, director of the Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Fenghuang County, the county plans to plant 119,300 mu (about 7953.33 hectares) of rapeseed this year. In order to maintain stable production and increase income, it provides seeds and fertilizers to rapeseed growers for free, and carry out unified prevention and control of pests and diseases. At the same time, on-site training sessions will be held to provide technical support for the growers.
